The selects at the National are the quality of dog I should be trying to produce..... they have the package deal I should desire.... but they aren't necesarily what I should be breeding TO. Those two things could be very different..... depending on what your starting with What a great post....Theres a lot of breeders who will run to breed to the new GV, why???? It could be the worst thing for their breeding program. I have an old friend...she would only breed to a GV or the least a Select...well guess what in her 40 yrs. in the breed she has not achieved a darn thing...Forget the titles breed to the animal that best suits your bitch. A wise (old) handler many years ago said the pedigree is only worth the paper its written on...I have to agree to a certain point...I feel you have to look first at both animals and then the pedigree.
