I received another AKC Communications e-mail praising the efforts of PAWS.
Not able to stand myself any longer... below was my unsolicited response.

I am sorry to say that after reading the minutes of the last Delegates
meeting in the AKC Gazette, I can only surmise that AKC is hoping to use AKC
inspectors to do the proposed legislation's USDA inspections. It is
apparently
that monies are at the root of AKC's support for this bill. I feel that we
have been sold out by Jim Holt to the highest bidder. What a shame !!!!!!!!!!
