Have you considered some 50 Nationals - Annually? You could have one in each
state. Would that make everyone happy? Most major organizations that I have
had the opportunity to attend their conventions rotate them: San Diego, San
Francisco, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, San Antonio, St. Louis, New York
City----etc. Or you could just look at major airline hubs. Bottom line----you
have a year to figure out how to get where the National is planned. Pe

The problem with this is that some people will not be satisfied if national
is within a reasonable driving distance. They want the show in their back yard
occasionally, even if that makes it impossible for a large number of others
to attend. You can try to put that way of thinking out as having compassion
for folks who happen to live at the far edges of the country, but I have no
idea
how you can justify that compassion for a few as you completely disregard so
many others. The only thing that makes sense is to rotate locations that are
drivable for as many people as possible while including each edge of the
country in that "drivable" distance whenever possible.
