I am not sure I agree with that. It would seem impossible for everyone to
attend every national. It would be more reasonable to respect the entire
membership and give everyone an opportunity to attend a national every few
years.
We do need to respect the minority, even if it means moving the location.
When you have a national it brings out local people. Many who would not
attend might were it within driving distance. That is why it has rotated in the
past. Perhaps we can factor in some expense reduction if it is going to be in
a place with a smaller entry. Also, I wonder if an arena in South Dakota is
going to cost the same as one in Chicago?
That is why we have a Budget and Finance Committee, to consider those
factors. I am sure they will do so, wherever Joan and Kathy decide is a great
location, (and is approved by the board).
