Here on the East Coast we have been "blessed" with an abundance of rain. So much so that the ground never really dries out. Now that its freezing overnight the ground has gotten hard except for a thin layer of mud. When the dogs come in from outside they look liked they've been dipped in chocolate! So, I'm trying to figure out what I can do to provide an exercise area that will keep them some what clean at least. I was thinking about raw cut sawdust. This is the sawdust that comes from oak and possibly pine woods before they've been kiln dried. Its hard little bits of wood, not at all like shavings. Has anyone ever used this? Would the dogs eat it? It does have a slightly sweet smell. Does anyone have any ideas of what else could be used? thanks in advance, Sue T. ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2011.
