When talking about GSD movement.... A friend just sent me a video link to some dancers. They are dancing the Boogie Woogie and they are good. What impressed me was that the young male dancer does not move his head or shoulders up and down. All of his movement is forward or reverse, using the legs and hips. It really illustrates, in an easy to see human form, the motion I love to see in our dogs, - everything propelling the dog forward without any up and down motion. That is only possible when the conformation is correct. If the movement is not level and smooth, easy forward motion, then something is wrong with the conformation. Seems simple, but until you have seen it and understood it, it is easy to miss.
