I don't know what the stats are for affected DM tests BUT in Labradors, with
the EIC (Excercise Induced Collapsed) there is a percentage of affected dogs
who will never have symptoms during their lifetime.
We can only use our test results as a guideline. The whole picture must be
considered.

herein is my problem. When we get a dog with DM tested markers from two
arents who tested clear, what do we do? I have heard it is not possible,

also remember a friend of mine who when elbow x-rays came out, tested all
her bitches. They all tested with bad elbows and she put them all down.

ssume just for the sake of discussion that Gotti, Ben and Mephisto had the
markers for DM. Should all of the progeny be put down? I guess that is
personal opinion and can't be answered.

o not have the answer. A good friend of mine, Liz, said it is just a factor
o use in breeding. I tend to think she is right.
