Jerry Lee, was trained by Mark Morring who was the first K9 Sgt for LAPD
(Donn Yarnell was the first LAPD trainer) while I was the first K9 Sgt and
trainer for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department circa 1980.
I have one of the original movie posters from K-9, given to me by Don
Yarnell. I believe he was one of the technical advisors on the show. At the
time, I
was trying to get into the K-9 unit of LAPD and was spending my spare time as
an agitator. Not much of a stretch for me, LOL!
