very well said...If my mom were alive today....I am sure she would drug us to
the club...but not Sully and I would prepare her favorie dish and have
cocktails with her on the patio...I would wait on her hand and foot....when she
got ill I was 14 and took cared of her, and my baby sister...daddy couldn't
handle "his Hawkeye being weak and sick" so left after 25 yrs.
I would do it over again...she was a class act..put up with my horrible tom boy
ways but made sure I knew how to be a lady when I should be.
she hunted with daddy, she kept us straight had patiants of a saint and a
temper og the devil...all it took a look and I know I was pushing it. She
fought for daddy to buy me a horse...so I could chase my dream...and he did.
she was the greatest to me
Happy Mothers Day
I miss my best friend still and she has been gone 35 yrs I lost her at 21.
and I really do not like when Moms day falls on her birthday may 12.

Subject: [ SHOWGSD-L ] Happy Mothers Day
If my mom was alive now, I would be giving her a huge hug and telling her how
much I appreciate what she went thru, raising myself, a brother and sister and
dealing with all the animal hobbies. I am working with a blended family of 5
and their 4 Goldens, five days a week. After a couple hours with them, I go
home exhausted. This experience has given me a great appreciation of Mom's who
work, raise their kids, and keep the homefront sane. Yes, I raised one
daughter as a single parent. But, that doesn't even begin to compare with the
multi-tasking that Moms do to keep life sane, especially in the current world.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there. I wish you all the credit you
deserve. Dads and kids, make sure you show wife/mom how much she means to you
:-)
