Yes, it is true that there is no "cure" for this problem. All they can
provide is "supportive" treatment.
As for testing the dog food... their vet might be able to test it. I would
find out. Also, Diamond has said they will be paying for the vet bills for
people whose dogs have been affected. I do not know if that includes testing
before symptoms show up. I too have been trying to get through on the phone
and have been unable to. I am thinking an email might be easier.
