That is sad, and I hope not true. Carman is a Father, a man, a husband, an
educated person, and a friend to many. If his life depends on him being our
delegate, that is a shame.
I can appreciate that Jimmie is loyal to his friends, and I commend him on
that. I would, however, hope he wrote what he did because he believes it, not
just because he is being loyal.
We have a situation right now in our government where blind loyalty seems to
be more important than doing the right thing. We were offered Harriet Meyers
as the best person for the Supreme Court, had a Horse Club executive heading
FEMA, and now an Attorney General who can't remember where he left his car
keys.
Loyalty is important, and I believe in it. But, I don't think Brownie was
doing a great job.
