Good questions but didn't someone say that they were recommended by the AKC .
If this is true then we know that the AKC is involved.

Why are we so quick to believe anything this NY lawyers says...particularly
over the lawyers that reside on the board and the other club members that do
not. Since no one seems to know anything about her other than she shows dogs,
can we assume that she was hired because she is known to the individual(s) that
hired her.
I find it hard to believe that it is a coincidence that the very best lawyer in
this field that we could find also happens to show dogs. And here is the
speculation part........does she perhaps have an Agenda herself or at the very
least, is she supporting someone else's agenda?

Reading Evan's first post when I saw that a portion of the settlement
agreement/proposal dealt with having our board take training in antitrust law

it crystal clear to me that a violation had occurred.
Next...when you seek counsel for anything, an attorney is going to want the
whole picture. Warts and all. How can they be expected to "fix" something
without knowing what other shoe may drop? So, the client goes under a
magnifying glass. It's not comfortable, but it's also not the time for finger
pointing and calling the lawyer names. Case in point, there was no disclaimer
in
the Review on the editorial page. So...we can expect this lawyer, if she is
to do her job, to look at everything and make recommendations.
This isn't a statement about puppy mills or personalities. It isn't about
supporting who voted their conscience and bashing those who in retrospect,
knew better.
"We" are in a mess, and it's about fixing it, learning from our mistakes and
preventing them from happening again.
(I don't know this attorney from Adam. I pray she's good!)
