BOARD VOTES TO FORGIVE MAY 28 STUDENT MAKE-UP DAY

At its regular meeting May 10, the Richland One Board of School
Commissioners approved a request from Superintendent Dr. Percy Mack to
forgive the May 28 snow make-up day for students.

The Board’s vote means that Friday, May 27 will be the last day of
the 2010-2011 school year for Richland One students as originally
scheduled. That day also will be an early-dismissal day for students.

Richland One students already made up two of the three days missed when
schools were closed for three days in January because of inclement
weather and hazardous road conditions. February 21, April 22 and May 28
were designated as make-up days if needed in the 2010-2011 academic
calendar.
