Bob, Thanks for the tip... I hadn't considered the fragility of the back casing. Your advice is much appreciated. Have you, or others in the group ever damaged, or heard of someone damaging the back casing when using only the tripod thread socket to attach your TLR to a support? Anyone else care to comment on the idea of using a quick-release (QR) clamp and plate system in concert with a Rolleifix for attachment of a TLR? You'd be well advised to screw the Rolleifix onto a quick release plate for whatever system you decide on.
