Roger, USB flash drives are NOT maganetic media. They are semi-conductor devices. Each memory cell in a flash drive is actually a type of transistor. These types of devices are not reliable archival media either. Eventually a bit or a byte of date stored can drift from its original state and as with other digital storage, becomes unreadable. Also, the devices can only withstand so many read/write cycles before they wear out. Depending on the type device, that rating may vary from a few thousand to a million reads or writes....
