According to my "Nuttall's Standard Dictionary of the English Language"
published about 100 years ago, the plural of goose
is indeed geese. Group term for geese in flight is SKEIN. Group term
for geese on the ground is GAGGLE.

Now see if anyone here knows what the term is for a group of
CAPERCAILZIES is  !!!

The book shows no plural for TORTOISE.
