The Rollei 35 is mentioned in some recent posts. It's a superb camera.
I had the opportunity to meet David Breashears who made the IMAX film on Mt.
Everest, even changing the film, barehanded, on the summit. He was a superb
climber in those days.
Someone in our group was holding a Rollei 35 and David commented that it was
the best still camera for climbing and he had carried one on that climb.
The internet is full of stories about that climb and I have a DVD copy of the
video.
Let me clarify, I am not a climber and never have been, but I follow the sport
and took a "ropes" course from U.C.S.D. It involved some climbing activities
but we were always "on belay" when we were off the ground.
