Speaking of Leica, The BJP is reporting today that Leica is in deeper
trouble than expected as they are delaying yet again the introduction if
their top of the line digital slr.

Why doesn't another photo company go after Leica for purchase?

Now, i understand that some Aspheric surfaces are
cast and not ground at all!

What is your opinion of the much rumored Leica
lenses which have "non-glass" (read; plastic) internal
elements. They are supposed to be fast and light weight.
