We have many young people coming in to our store for darkroom stuff. Not
just the usual high school students getting paper and film, but young people
teens through thirties who tell us that while Adobe PhotoShop is great, it's
just
another program where you sit at your puter and click -- they love the
hands-on craft and art of darkroom. Some of the hardcore darkroom renaissance
kids
are the "Goth" types who are so hardcore they reject computers!! Warms the
heart! I think the comparisons to ham radio are excellent. We too can
embrace
photography through all technologies and approaches, old and new.
