Age has a tendency to do that.

There was a quote I only half remember from way back, about brilliant researchers being an impediment to progress in their chosen field in proportion to the importance of their original discoveries. I.e. the more important their 'famous' work, the more they hinder future development in that field.

Seems to apply here.

I did attempt to discuss some of his aberrant positions with Henry some years back, as have others. It is more useful to attempt to drain the sea with a tea-strainer. He does not discuss: he lectures. The conversation is one-way only.
