Ben,
Yes, I meant RME files. I was installing SAMVB also and the MDAC 2.7
and JAVA are needed for that installation. Sorry for the confusion.
Turned out the problem was "bad" cdf files. Once I reloaded them from
the Affy site RMAexpress worked. Thank you for your response.

RMAExpress needs uses neither Java nor MDAC so I am not sure why you
report that. In addition, I am not sure why you report ".RMA" files as I
do not know of anything related to RMAExpress with that file extensions.
Perhaps you mean ".RME" files=3F=20
All that said, in general unless you are trying to do something extra
special, you should be able to read in your raw CDF file and raw CEL
=66iles directly into RMAExpress (without using the converter program at
all). You would do this by using the "Read Unprocessed Files" option
=66rom the file menu.
