is the ocr in 9.3 done in the virtual view app?
as for the values in the automatable parameters dialog , it has to do with
how the plug-in exposes them; sometimes they're real world values related to
the parameter , sometimes just percentages or ordinal numbers.
fortunately WE detects the view-related , secondary menu bar in Sonar x and
platinum.
bars , so we can access the region fx etc.
same thing here , have to sometimes carry out paralel testing with all
screen readers to see if something is accessible to a degree it can be
effectively used.
a good example is XLNAudio's online installer; the login screen is
accessible; afterwords , everything needs to be done with ocr.

Yeh, will have to re-visit synth font at some point, I bought it too.
I just tried window-eyes free 60 day demo, and I think they're slowly getting it back to where it should be.
Needs a lot of work,
it still won't see a thing with reaper,
jaws and NVDA both do,
though jaws doesn't

But we doesn't see any of the standard MSAA stuf in there that Osara is supposed to show to any screen-reader.

But we seems to behave fairly well otherwise, it was so bad with the first version of 8 that it wouldn't even install on my system,
but I've been putting it through some paces for the last couple hours or so, and so far, hasn't crashed or acted crazy like it was.
when using the find command in sonar, it hangs up a bit,
I label a bunch of graphics with the auto labeler,
and say try to find the envelope or ofset mode,
and we used to find that with no trouble, but now it just goes dead, and when I get out of the window it comes back to life,
so go figure.
YOu really have to have all three screen-readers to get it all,
because as good as NVDA object nav is, it still won't read some things that we will, and junky old jaws get's stuck in forms mode sometimes,
and NVDA will work when it won't or the other way around, it's just nuts.
Ah the things we put up with just to get a little work done.

I know you know what I'm getting at, you are one
of the few folks like me who use multiple
screen-readers,
people tend to get in one camp and never poke their heads up, even high level devs who should know better,
people are branching out a bit mor these days,
but many get too confused trying to keep up with more than one tool, and yes, it can be a bit nuts, but it's well worth it for the extra access we get to try and do it.
You will always know your first tool the best, if you spent years with one thing, and learned another thing,
like a second or third language, but it still garners rewards.
One thing we has let me do even the older version is explore sonar platinum a bit,
John Martyn's scripts are not ready for drive time yet, and jaws MSAA buffer doesn't refresh as quickly as we's buffer does, it's crazy, you can start jaws, and i won't show anything in sonar platinum for a bit, and then flip out of the window and come back and then you see stuff.
John said it was a refresh issue.
He supposed to be working on that control surface, but I haven't talked to him in a while,
I need to catch up with him.
But we at least shows up the basic fields,
so is
possible to make some use of platinum, even if just a little bit.
But I am really wondering why nothing shows up with we and reaper, jamie says he's using standard MSAA stuff, but all the readders implement it differently, and all the devs will tell you they're doing it right and the other guys are doing it wrong 'grin',
So I have touched on a lot of things here,
got any thoughts?

you keep a 32 bit around to run it?
I ran it on xp and 32 bit w7 but it didn't like 64 bit w7.
Too bad, that's a great old stand by and the most accessible font
player we've ever had.
I bought
vst synth font, but I like livesynth pro better.
