That's a good idea, to isolate things, and always have a fail safe.
It sucks that we have to practice paranoid computing this way, but
yeh, that's just how it goes.
I've broken the cardinal rule and I use my production machine for
lots of other stuff, but I know how to get out of trouble, and I
always back up projects right away when I do them.
At the worst, I'll have to image my system, re-install a few plug-ins
and I'm ready to go.
But on xp, reason didn't do too badly with everything, but this is
with xp and pre we 7.53.
I'm enjoying window-eyes reasonably well with 7.2 refresh on xp now,
she's only once in a while loosing her mind, lord I hope they get the
problems fixed, but with window-eyes and the complete re-write to
incorporate scripting, I guess in many ways, it's like 1.0 again, and
it's gonna take a few versions to recover.
I hope we can survive and hang on,
but I've got to have tools that work.

devise some way to isolate Winize somewhat from Reason 6 if such a
thing is possible.
There's obviously no way round that Code Meter, so I'll try to live
with it, but on its own hard drive, so it doesn't harm Sonar, Reaper
and other things.
The developer's license I got from PropellerHeads was so I could
look into Reaper 6, in hopes of accessing it for blind musicians.
I have to tell the truth about what I learn about Reason 6, that
running it might come with problems from Code Meter.
I don't know yet, maybe Code Meter won't harm NVDA, Jaws or System
Access, and maybe there are ways to make WindowEyes tolerate it as well.
Reason 6 on XP, with WindowEyes 6.1 didn't freeze up, so maybe
that's my solution, but I still want it on its own hard drive, just in case
.
