That's a problem with your system maybe? Never heard of this behaviour. But
let the wizard finish and exit by clicking the finish button to see.
Don't exit with alt+f4.

Subject: [realmusicians] Losing Keyboard USB Driver

Every time I boot up and go to play Reason from my Edirol PCR keyboard,
connected with USB cable, Windows XP has lost the Edirol PCR USB drivers
again.
I go through the whole Add Hardware Wizard again, point it to the Program
Files, Edirol, where the drivers are, it loads them again, and I hear the
drivers being loaded; because I have Program opening and closing sounds,
then I press enter on finish, and I have USB connection again, until next
time I boot up, and Windows XP has lost track of where the keyboards USB
drivers are.
Should I be doing something besides clicking on finish after the drivers are
loaded, and Windows announces that my drivers are successfully installed?
Is exiting the Add Hardware Wizard with F4 after clicking finish not legal,
and somehow messing up saving of those drivers?

Doing it so many times, I'm getting fast at going through Add Hardware's
steps to find the drivers, but it's a drag to not have them installed
permanently.
This is why I wasn't using the USB cable all this time.
Any ideas, anyone?
Thanks,
Indigo L
