Hello Jim,

You write:
you could go to a web site like
www.freeconference.com
from which you would obtain a dedicated number, and have other parties call
in to the conference. Many of these web based conference services archive
the recorded calls so that you can play them later on at your convenience.

That's quite true, but keep in mind that you do not need to have the
other person call any special number. All you need do is to conference
yourself and that other person through your phone. That is, call the
dedicated number, enter the codes to start the conference and, if needed, to
start recording, then make a conference/three way call to the person you
wish to record. When he picks up, he will be automatically recorded.
Needless to say, you can do this in reverse.
HTH,
Aman

There apparently is no way to do this with just an iPhone as your only tool.
If you had an iPad, you could download a number of recording apps that would
do the trick.
You could purchase an inexpensive digital recorder, the Olympus DM series
comes to mind, and record the call that way.
Or, you could go to a web site like
www.freeconference.com
from which you would obtain a dedicated number, and have other parties call
in to the conference. Many of these web based conference services archive
the recorded calls so that you can play them later on at your convenience.
Without a computer, these are the only options that come to mind.

Seriously folks, I have two interviews I need to do telephonically within
the next two weeks, and I do not have a functioning computer at my home with
which to edit or do fancy things. Is there no way I can do this with an
iPhone? I really need answers and appreciate people's thoughtful responses.
Thank you

I don't believe Kim is running the latest version of the OS. So this
ability may have been killed.

Kimberly,
I just need to verify that you actually have done this with HT recorder, as
this app cost $15. I would appreciate it if you can let me know for sure so
I do not spend more money unnecessarily.

Hi Sheila,

I used HT Recorder and activated it before making the phone call.

Kim,
Can you please tell me how you were able to do this? I have purchased both
apps and neither will work when I call somebody I have tried both calling
someone and activating the record feature, Plus calling somebody after
activating the program. In all cases, I get an error message about the
program not being able to activate the record feature.

I've been able to use List Recorder to record calls without jail-breaking
the phone. I've also used i-recorder. I just text the person with whom I'll
be speaking ahead of time and get their permission first.

This is not legally possible.
However, there is an app called list recorder, you can start list recorder,
start the recording, and then use your iPhone's speaker phone to record the
call.
This is not legal in all states.
That is why you cannot do this without jailbreaking your phone.

The subject line says it all. Is it possible to record phone calls with the
iPhone 6? I have to do a couple of interviews, and thought that if this were
possible, it would be the cleanest way to go about things. Any info would be
appreciated.
