Ok, I have some more unfocused pictures of a car sliding off the track, this
one sliding off the Attitudes. It was Saturday during the qualifying race, I
believe. Any way you can see how he was way out of line coming off the right
hand turn. I was aging set up on manual with Paul's Sigma 150-500, again too
much lens. Anyway you can see him coming right at me how ever the long lens
makes it look closer than it was.

On another note, Dave Dingman bought some pictures from me from last years
enduro and one of them ended up on Dave's promo calendar. So now I'm a
published professional photographer.

      Was that Sat. or Sunday, and which mustang?  I must have missed that one;

There was also a Mustang that spun off the track coming off the
attitudes and I was using Paul's 150-500 lens and it was way too much lens for
something like that so it didn't very well either. I'll post what I have when I
get a chance.

First off Mr. Zamboni, that is a great series!!! I really enjoyed
paging through it, except for the miata owners sympathetic pain. Second off,
let apologize for your having the shutter at 1/60th when you needed 1/800th. It
is my fault, I have the worst luck at that very thing and apperantly a few
weeks ago when we were shooting at Black Rock, it done migrated to you, sorry.

            All,

Ok, so I have some good news and some bad news, The good news is
that I was in perfect position for the crash of the #7 Miata from the last race
yesterday, the bad news is that I was shooting in manual Mode and was only
shooting at 1/60th of a second so the photos are way out of focus but just to
put you in my shoes...

I was about 20 yards west of the end of the photography well right
before the first turn of the east track. There was a group of 5 Spec Miatas in
a bunch and I watched them for about three laps when the following sequence
happened. I was so close that as the car slid past me I was even hit in the
head by a flying rock, the only place it wouldn't do any damage. Well take a
look and enjoy it was pretty cool being that close to the action even though it
did raise my blood pressure a bit.
