Good sequence Herr Zamboni. All I saw of this action was a cloud of dust and you running for dear life, but not until the crash was past you. ----- Original Message ----- From: Michael Wells<mailto:mcwellsphoto@xxxxxxxxx> To: ratpack@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:ratpack@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 16, 2010 5:16 PM Subject: [ratpack] I have some good news... All, Ok, so I have some good news and some bad news, The good news is that I was in perfect position for the crash of the #7 Miata from the last race yesterday, the bad news is that I was shooting in manual Mode and was only shooting at 1/60th of a second so the photos are way out of focus but just to put you in my shoes... I was about 20 yards west of the end of the photography well right before the first turn of the east track. There was a group of 5 Spec Miatas in a bunch and I watched them for about three laps when the following sequence happened. I was so close that as the car slid past me I was even hit in the head by a flying rock, the only place it wouldn't do any damage. Well take a look and enjoy it was pretty cool being that close to the action even though it did raise my blood pressure a bit. http://www.pbase.com/twistedlight/crash<http://www.pbase.com/twistedlight/crash> -- Michael Wells MCWells Photography mcwellsphoto@xxxxxxxxx<mailto:mcwellsphoto@xxxxxxxxx> 801-850-7279
