Hi Steven, yes, you're right: this could work. In addition to your other suggestion I will create additional ports A&B (named like the coupler ports) for every shared port instead of one single Port - for instance: Port 1/1 (remove) Port 1/1A Port 1/1B I think this will catch our cabling necessities ;-) Thanks for your quick responses!
