Yep, I've also had stability problems w/ acfs on vbox. Perhaps it's better to
skip acfs configuration and live happy... Someone else have got problems?

A few lessons learned while going through the install steps on OSX. If you are
planning to use an External Harddrive, I would highly advise against it. I went
through 3 installation attempts, which failed at the root.sh script due to
various issues ranging from ASM disks to Node Connectivity.

In addition, for the ASM Configuration, once the Volume is created there's a
missing step (I think) to Enable it. I was attempting to create a ACFS mount
when it kept erroring the /SHARED volume needs to enabled. It would be great to
include this step.

As we have discussed in previous threads, the differences between the steps
(for Windows) and OSX are minimal. I didn't see a need to install VNC on the
Guest VM's since I was able to startup an X-Windows session on OSX.
Alternatively, we can direct the users to install the desktop components (don't
shoot me for saying this!! :))

Timings:

Create VM, Install Linux (including network and storage) and Configure Node1: 1
hour 30 Minutes
Clone VM, Install Linux (including network and storage) and Configure Node2: 30
Minutes
GI Install: 30 Minutes
Database Install: 30 Minutes
DBCA: 30 minutes

Cheers!
Maaz
