It is good to hear I am not the only one. I'll have to check if there is
a tolerance on the BB, although that doesn't worry me. Tolerance doesn't
matter for the riding experience.
Tacking the shell seems a little crude. I'll try clamping it down using
a bolt and large washer, having the washer pushing on the shell, keeping
it im place. Something like that anyway

This is the cours that the shell is unwinding itself during
left-cornering. If you have plenty of hight you can built in a
profesional bearing as used on mounten bikes. I did not have this, but
leurned to live with it. You can give it a tack weld, but the clearens
will stay.

because the upper shell keeps unwinding (after 100kms I need to
re-thighten it). I know there are others which use this solution. Am I
