When evaluating film manufacturers' speed claims, remember that
they compete with each other. One of the factors of comparison is
film speed, just as auto manufacturers compete on engine horsepower, size,
and gasoline economy.
You should no more expect that you will achieve a claimed film speed,
than you will achieve a claimed gasoline consumption rate. On occasion
it might happen, but that is not the norm.
