Thanks, Richard. I wonder how much it would cost to coat my house, then project a negative of a white house with black shutters...? Naw - probably cheaper to just paint the house. I *do* have a couple of more reasonable projects in mind, though, so I appreciate the info. The Rockland sounds exactly like what my friend was using (except for packaging, but that may have changed in 30+ years. -Bill On Monday, October 25, 2004, at 03:02 AM, Richard Knoppow wrote: > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Bill Stephenson <photographica@xxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Oct 24, 2004 11:09 PM > To: pure-silver@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [pure-silver] Re: was: Argento-ferrotype prints Now: > emulsion-to-go? > > Back in the 70's, a professional photographer friend used to supplement > his income by coating "river rocks" or "beach stones" (stones worn > smooth from water and/or sand action) with a photosensitive emulsion > and printing line drawings (made on Kodalith from full-scale originals) > on them, then selling them as bookends, paperweights, or just > ornaments.
