Thanks! I'll try the inkjet thing and see how that goes. --shannon On Nov 17, 2008, at 9:39 PM, Elias Roustom wrote:
You can always get a mask made at any printer still running film for their plate exposures. You want an Emulsion Up Right Reading Negative, with a density near 4 (ink jet can't get even come close), which can be generated from Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark Express, etc. We get these films for our commercial printing operation almost daily. A letter size sheet can cost between $13 and $18, depending on what part of the country you're in, and how available the service is.Shanon if you can generate a file in a vector based program like illustrator, I can help you get a film mask.Elias On Nov 17, 2008, at 6:13 PM, Ray Rogers wrote:Yes. I would ask your dealer to look into it on your behalf.I am not sure this promotion is done in the US, but it could be dealer optional... On the other hand you might ask Fuji directly. In Japan the emphasis is on the 'New Year' part of the season. You probably could make your own as was mentioned earlier. The nice thing about the REAL THING, is its high density and that both a positive and a negative is included free with a box of post cards. If I see them when I go shopping next time I will keep you in mind. Do you know how to get it? I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to make a mask in photoshop and print it on transparency film, or cut one out of paper with an exacto blade. --shannon On Nov 17, 2008, at 2:40 PM, Ray Rogers wrote:Well, Fuji each year produces a free b/w mask for use withtheir post card paper.Ray --- On Mon, 11/17/08, Shannon Stoney<shannonstoney@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:From: Shannon Stoney<shannonstoney@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>Subject: [pure-silver] ps re old christmas cards To: pure-silver@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Monday, November 17, 2008, 8:08 PM It's possible that I remember that last storywrong.
