I have had good luck making the diameter of the pinhole equal to 0.0015
times the square root of the distance to the film plane in millimeters. So for
a 50 mm distance to the film plane the aperture will be 0.011 inches. This
is about f/200 and you will need about 7 stops more exposure that you
require at f16.

I drill a 1/4 inch hole in the body cap. The pinhole is made in .005 brass
shim stock or the aluminum from a soft drink can. This is taped to the
inside of the body cap using opaque tape. Then use the camera shutter to
control the exposure. Exposures are in the 1-10 second range for EI 100 film.
