[pure-silver] hardener in fixer?

I have been reading about painting on photographs. One suggestion is
that you not use hardener in your fixer before painting. I use Ilford
Hypam, which is already in liquid form. But I can't figure out if it
has hardener in it or not. I think it doesn't. Does anybody know?
