FWIW, I use Tri-X for 35mm. It's priced like Ilford's.
But in 8x10, Kodak only sells 10 sheet boxes and
it's expensive.
Also the Tri-X 35mm is souped in Rodinal. And the
HP-5 souped in Pyrocat-HD for the added stain and
used for alternative proecsses as well as silver. The
Tri-X 35mm is simply enlarged on variable contrast
papers. I'm not entirely clear of the effects of a
staining developer used for printing on VC paper.
Anyone have experience?
