Year ago I did color slides using SS reels and never had to take the film off the reel to re-expose it. One just rotates it about 2.5 ft in front of a 250 watt photoflood bulb for a minute or so. -----Original Message----- From: pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Pat Foster Sent: Tuesday, April 11, 2006 6:52 PM To: pure-silver@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [pure-silver] Re: Formulating FD-72 Fogging Developer Most of the iron remival products which use dithionite form acidic solutions when dissolved, usually sodium bisulfate is present in the powder mixture. I've used the earlier Kodak Kit intended for Panatomic-X and found it convenient to do all of the processing with solutions, avoiding the need to remove the film from the reel for reexposure then reloading it for the second development. This obviously is a personal preference and not an insurmountable hurdle. _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
