What makes you think that way?

I had purchased 3 bottles of DDX from the same shop. The first bottle was fine. I recently opened a second bottle and souped a roll with half of the first and half of the newly opened. That's where things started to look a little funky.

I then souped another roll with the second newly opened bottle and that roll came out horribly underdeveloped. I then ran two test rolls. I metered and shot at the metered values and then shot 11 more frames each frame 1/3 stop more exposure then the previous. The result was the first 5 frames were completely unusable and the last 3 started to look like underdeveloped/underexposed frames. I can barely read the frame numbers on the film.

So I don't think the bottle died, I think it was DOA.

I have a third unopened bottle. Not sure what I am going to do with it. I might just return it.

   I've mailed Ilford.

   J
