sound pc speaker with msn alert?

Hi all,
Is there a way, maybe with some msn sdk (I guess it is Windows Live now) to get my pc speaker to sound instead of just the message alert coming through the device hooked up to my sound card? I mean the speaker on my motherboard itself, not my speakers.
