You get the Python interpreter from:
www.python.org
It is reasonably accessible with jaws, but stay away from the IDE provided as it is not accessible.
I simply use MS Notepad, but almost any good editor will work. In jaws the feature to announce indentation level may be useful as strict indentation is mandatory in Python.
