Just for that test, that was all i put in php.ini, i use a more complete file on my servers of course ;o) I just recompiled php right into apache and it still works fine, so it is not that. Are there many benefits of having php compiled into apache? I always use php as a dso. Do you have any other zend_extension lines in your php.ini?
