Yes, the language addons seem to be a pretty weak part in pe that need
improvement. While searching for some information about syntax coloring I
stumbled about an editor with a really promising concept:

Speaking of the diff tool. There's a feature request from me that should be
doable without much effort. There should be icons in the diff windows
toolbar to toogle the options found in the preferences ("Ignore Case
Change" and "Ignore White Space").
Another improvement could be making the diff window accept another file
drop to recycle it
