Hi, I have a Dell Latitude 600 notebook, running XP Professional, SP3. The other day I downloaded Windows automatic updates, the next day I noticed that my computer was running incredibly slow. When I say slow, I mean that commands that used to take seconds, now take several minutes. I tried to go back to several previous restore points, but kept getting the message that Windows could not go back to that restore point. I looked at the Defrag analysis, and the hard drive did not appear to be severely defragmented. I ran AVG and it did not detect any viruses. Can anyone suggest how I can get my computer back up to speed? Thanks, jim ========================= The list's FAQ's can be seen by sending an email to PCWorks-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with FAQ in the subject line.
