Here are some messages to and from myself to a gal with a problem that I
hope someone here can help us solve...

I doubt you need an upgrade, but it depends on what version of
Windows you're using.  In both W98 and 2000, you right-click on the
desktop and select Properties, then Settings.  Make sure your Colours
setting is high colours 16 bit or true colour 32 bit.  Preferably the
former.

In PSP, you can change the colour setting on any file you open using
the Colors menu.

If you think you need a Windows update, you go here:
windowsupdate.microsoft.com
It will analyze your system and recommend critical updates.

I did do that part, right clicked on desk top, went to settings then when I
try to go to it it blacks out.
I don't understand why the screen goes all black like that?
