Here are some messages to and from myself to a gal with a problem that I hope someone here can help us solve... ~Lu ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- > I'm using my children't computer and when I try to use my PSP8 I cannot see the photos clearly. SO I go to desk top to upgrade my settings and I can't because it has only 1 setting. > No 24 bit etc....... > anyone know what I can do or where to go to download the upgrade? > Should I go to windows update if so, what would I ask for? > Kim ----- Original Message ----- I doubt you need an upgrade, but it depends on what version of Windows you're using. In both W98 and 2000, you right-click on the desktop and select Properties, then Settings. Make sure your Colours setting is high colours 16 bit or true colour 32 bit. Preferably the former. In PSP, you can change the colour setting on any file you open using the Colors menu. If you think you need a Windows update, you go here: windowsupdate.microsoft.com It will analyze your system and recommend critical updates. ~Lu I did do that part, right clicked on desk top, went to settings then when I try to go to it it blacks out. I don't understand why the screen goes all black like that? Kim --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus and Cootie Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
