I remember this one - I made sure I had NO unread messages in my folders!! It's hard to keep up with these virus writing idiots - they figure out how to send them that execute for no reason at all, and they search the computer's for addresses - even in e-mails stored on your system, not necessarily just in your address book - and most now send from addresses so that it is impossible to track down whose computer is truly infected to let them know they have a problem. I have been very lucky - and I believe a lot of it is luck! besides the fact that I keep my anti-virus up to date, my windows up to date - run zone alarm - keep spyware checked - Knock on wood, I haven't been bombarded with e-mails carrying viruses for a while. I remember the snow white one - oh my!! that came in non-stop to me for days! I finally set a message rule to delete it from the server. And there seem to be lulls. We can go for a month or two - with no new viruses - then BOOM !!! old ones hit again, and new ones come out of nowhere! It was sent to my company and their email address was not in my address book. It replied to a periodic update they had sent....not an address I would have used, in any case. I just click reply and do a select all to get rid of the message. A little more work maybe but should I get a virus, my friends sure won't get ticked off at me for sending it to me. Norton scans every email which goes out of my email client both in and out also. Judith <snip> Where may I see an encrypted address book software?
