Hi Cristy,
have you tried installing FTM to the pen/thumb drive.

Perhaps that will alow you to 'see' the files then.

Then you are using crippled or outdated or poorly written software.  Copy
the files to a harddrive and work from there.

Nope, tried both ways, it will NOT open an .ftw or .ged family tree maker
file on the thumb drive, it WILL open other files however like "word"
files
etc...It actually comes up with a message saying it cant open a family
tree
maker file on a removeable disk.
