I signed up for Hotpop immediately after it was discussed here recently (a
week, maybe?), immediately subscribed to PCTT with it, and haven't used it
for anything else. At least in this week, I haven't seen any spam from them,
but as far as I'm concerned, if they send a mail a week, it's a small price
to pay for a good free service. If we're honest about the preferences, maybe
at least we'll get interesting spam!

| For those of you who suggested hotpop as a free e-mail service - or those
who
| use it.
| How many popus are there on their free service - and how many advertising
| e-mails?
| It says that my ip address will appear in the headers - can spammers find
me
| thru that?
|
| what are the pro's and cons!! I'm signing up - and am on the page where it
asks
| for my life's history! gender, age, political preference, education,
career,
| household income, etc. etc. I gather that for the free service it is
mandatory
| that I answer all of these questions.
| makes me a little concerned.....
|
| thoughts please!!!!
| Thx!!
