I was surprised at what all they asked! I mean - politics? that's a dangerous
subject!!

I've been using Hotpop for almost a year now, no problems. As to the info
they ask for, fake it. I certainly didn't use my real name or address. Don't
worry, they won't send out the Internet Police to arrest you. ;¬)

Yes your IP addy will show in the headers, when you send an email it will
say it's from Hotpop in the from line but when viewing 'all' headers the IP
addy will show. Even signing into Yahoo etc. mail and sending email your ip
will show. Only way around that is to use a Anon remailing service.

As to spammers they would spam the address you're mailing from, i.e. Hotpop.
I've never (knock on wood) been spammed at my ISP email because of using
another POP email account.
