that's sort of what I figured so guess for once 98 is safe - usually it's
one of the targets - thanks! Dolores

The patch is NOT for w-98. If you set up your automatic update you'll get
all the critical updates you need automatically.. Everytime I read about
one, oops there pops up automatic update and I get it. Or I go to updates
and check history of installations for the number, it's always there. I run
W-Me at home so did not get this patch, but at work I have W-2000 and
received the patch on automatic update. You can trust the update page to
show what you need, so if your OS isn't listed, don't try to d/l the update
(I don't think it would work anyway). But why look for trouble :o) --Glo

but when I went to the update page it said I didn't need anything and on the
page where they are listing the importance of this patch it does not list
98SE as one of the ones needing a patch - if I try to download the patch
anyhow will it say my computer doesn't need it? Dolores

there is far too much to edit so i'm just going to say what has
not gone before -
the ie6 cumulative patch update is required for ALL instalations
of IE6 regardless of the operating system it is installed with !
