Maybe because you have two connections... one a dial up  (earthlink) 
and the second a braodband high speed connection (Cox).

In an earlier message you mentioned that you had two connections to 
the internet:

 " I checked via webmail on both my cox and earthlink accounts as I 
use two on this computer"
